Acordo de ‘San Juan’ reafirma soberania absoluta, retrocede no processo de integração do MERCOSUL e põe em risco os recursos hídricos do aqüíefero guarani

When decisions adopt political bias forgetting the guidelines and information provided by experts, frequently bring harm to the society as a whole, especially when the decision relates to the environment. It is the case, to my advice, of the Treaty of 'San Juan', signed on August 2, 2010, in Argentina. There the rulers of the MERCOSUR countries resigned the progress that have achieved before and reaffirmed, against modern trends, the absolute sovereignty of each State under its share of the Guarani Aquifer, knowing that the Aquifer has no boundaries and does not obey the geography and that the piece meal exploitation will thoroughly affect the neighboring nations, and may generate conflicts.
